Xseed Impact is an impact investing non-profit that provides capital to social enterprises and organizations that sustainably improve family livelihoods in developing countries. We use innovative approaches to leverage donor generosity into investments that reduce poverty, create jobs and increase food security while empowering women and combating climate change.
What We Do
Xseed Model
Xseed Impact uses philanthropic loan guarantees to unlock capital. The support of guarantors allows us to borrow affordably and put funds to use where they can generate real change.
Xseed Investments
We provide debt financing to organizations in developing countries that can sustainably deliver on our social and environmental objectives.

We make investments with clear development targets and follow up with our partners to measure the social and environmental returns of our work.
Mobilizing Canadian capital to make a difference in the world
Xseed Impact uses financial tools in innovative ways to unlock capital and build up organizations that serve and support low-income and underserved people, particularly women. We believe in finding new and efficient ways to put Canadian assets and expertise to use in tackling some of the world’s biggest challenges. The support of philanthropic guarantors allows us to access affordable financing that is then invested in organizations that have shown they can sustainably achieve impactful results across Africa, Asia and Latin America. To maximize results, we focus investments in the areas of financial inclusion, small business development, agri-food / agroforestry and climate technology. This approach leverages our donors’ generosity and our partner’s hard work to deliver impact at scale.
