At Xseed Impact, we are dedicated to protecting your privacy and safeguarding the personal information you have entrusted to us. We’re strongly committed to our relationship with you and have developed this policy to be sure you understand the types of personal information we collect, the steps we take to protect it, and how the information is used.

By using the Xseed Impact website and our products and services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Collection of Information

Xseed Impact may ask for and collect from you personal identifiable information when you interact with our website, apply for our products and services, or request information from us. Depending on the information or services you request, you may be asked to provide your name, email address, address, phone number, payment details, financial information, and other similar information. Once you provide your personal information, you are not anonymous to Xseed Impact.

For participants in our guarantee or lending programs, we may also collect personal information about you from third parties in accordance with their respective terms and conditions and privacy policies. Examples of third parties that may share personal information with us include third-party verification services, commercially available sources such as research firms, credit bureaus, and government agencies, registries, or public records.

The collection of personal information is limited to that which is relevant and necessary for Xseed Impact to deliver its products and services and administer its charitable programs and fundraising efforts.

Use of Information

We may use your personal information:

To provide and maintain our products and services;
To verify your identity;
To manage your requests;
To process applications, transactions, donations and provide receipts;
To assess and determine eligibility for products and services;

Xseed Impact does not sell, rent, or trade personal information with others. We generally do not share your personal information with other organizations. We may share your information with third parties in the following situations:

To complete your request;
To outsource one or more of the functions described above;
To provide to third parties who may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to collect or receive information from our website and elsewhere on the internet and use that information to provide measurement services and target ads; or
To share your information with the authorities in response to a legal order or official request, or when we believe you have acted in violation of the Terms of Use of our website.

Philanthropic guarantor information may be shared on a “need to know” basis with Xseed Impact’s lenders. These organizations shall maintain such personal information in confidence and use it only to deal with the purpose for which it has been provided.

We may disclose your personal information for any other purpose with your consent.

Protection of Information

Personal information gathered by Xseed Impact is kept in confidence. Appropriate physical and electronic measures are used to ensure personal information is secure. Access to employees, volunteers, donors, philanthropic guarantors, borrowers, and other stakeholder’s records is limited to those who require such information to fulfill their job responsibilities. Our staff will only be authorized to access personal information based on their need to deal with the information in line with the reasons for which it was collected. The confidentiality of personal records will continue after the relationship with the individual has ended.

Your personal information is processed at Xseed Impact offices and in any other places where the parties involved in the processing are located. Information may be transferred to, and maintained on, computers located outside of your province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. Xseed Impact will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your personal information is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy, and no transfer of your personal information will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls and security in place.

The security of your personal information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, Xseed Impact cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Retention of Information

Xseed Impact keeps your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. We will retain and use personal information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

Deletion of Information and Unsubscribing

You have the right to delete or request that we assist in deleting personal information that Xseed Impact has collected about you. You can also contact us to request access to, correct, or delete any personal information that you have provided to Xseed Impact.

Please note, however, that Xseed Impact may need to retain certain information when we have a legal obligation or lawful basis to do so.

You may opt out of subscription email communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link that is included at the bottom of each email from Xseed Impact.

Website Log Files

Like many other websites, the Xseed Impact website makes use of log files. These files log visitors to the site – usually a standard procedure for hosting companies and a part of hosting services’ analytics. The information inside the log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. This information is used to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement around the site, and gather demographic information. IP addresses and other such information are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.

Links to Third-party Sites

The Xseed Impact website provides links to several other third-party websites. While we choose our links carefully, Xseed Impact is not responsible for the content of linked websites, or for the privacy policies of websites we link to. Since we do not control those websites, we encourage you to review the privacy policies of those websites prior to any use.
