The collection of personal information is limited to that which is relevant and necessary for Xseed Impact to deliver its products and services and administer its charitable programs and fundraising efforts.

Philanthropic guarantor information may be shared on a “need to know” basis with Xseed Impact’s lenders. These organizations shall maintain such personal information in confidence and use it only to deal with the purpose for which it has been provided.

Personal information gathered by Xseed Impact is kept in confidence. Appropriate physical and electronic measures are used to ensure personal information is secure. Access to employees, volunteers, donors, philanthropic guarantors, borrowers, and other stakeholder’s records is limited to those who require such information to fulfill their job responsibilities. Our staff will only be authorized to access personal information based on their need to deal with the information in line with the reasons for which it was collected. The confidentiality of personal records will continue after the relationship with the individual has ended.

Your personal information is processed at Xseed Impact offices and in any other places where the parties involved in the processing are located. Information may be transferred to, and maintained on, computers located outside of your province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. Xseed Impact will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your personal information is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy, and no transfer of your personal information will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls and security in place.

While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, Xseed Impact cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Xseed Impact keeps your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. We will retain and use personal information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

You have the right to delete or request that we assist in deleting personal information that Xseed Impact has collected about you. You can also contact us to request access to, correct, or delete any personal information that you have provided to Xseed Impact.

Please note, however, that Xseed Impact may need to retain certain information when we have a legal obligation or lawful basis to do so.

You may opt out of subscription email communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link that is included at the bottom of each email from Xseed Impact.

Like many other websites, the Xseed Impact website makes use of log files. These files log visitors to the site – usually a standard procedure for hosting companies and a part of hosting services’ analytics. The information inside the log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. This information is used to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement around the site, and gather demographic information. IP addresses and other such information are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.

The Xseed Impact website provides links to several other third-party websites. While we choose our links carefully, Xseed Impact is not responsible for the content of linked websites, or for the privacy policies of websites we link to. Since we do not control those websites, we encourage you to review the privacy policies of those websites prior to any use.

We believe it is important to provide added protection for children online. Xseed Impact websites do not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13.

This policy was last updated on December 16, 2024 and Xseed Impact may update it from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on the Xseed Impact website.
